13 weeks

The first step in becoming a firefighter, is selecting the right training program. There are two main choices: a Full Time Program or a Blended program. Both provide intensive training, but they require both classroom and hands on experience. The Full Time Program lasts 3 months. The Blended Program lasts 13 weeks.

During this 13-week training program, you will work with other firefighters. You will work with these firefighters for almost three years. Those with bad attitudes will fail to graduate from the program. You'll be expected to do your job safely and efficiently.

A firefighter's training is crucial to his or her career development. The path to a career as a firefighter is not necessarily straight-forward. The training involves numerous tasks, such as fighting fires, using tools and equipment, and ensuring that the building is safe. This course is a great way for aspiring firefighters to gain practical experience. Firefighting skills can be developed by both state and community college instructors.

Properly dressing is an important aspect to fire safety training. Students are encouraged to wear proper clothing for both classroom and outside activities. For male students, business casual clothes or duty uniforms are appropriate. For female students, dresses or blouses with slacks or shoes should be worn. The clothing must be neat and clean. You must not use offensive language, images, messages, or symbols on your clothing. Students must adhere to the dress code. The instructional staff has the right to interpret it.
